Mass fraction of chromium in chromium cast iron alloy exceeds over 11%, the ratio of chromium to carbon is greater than 4.5.The damage effects of carbide to matrix metal can be largely reduced, and thus resilience of Xinhai high chromium cast iron is superior to that of the ordinary white cast iron and the low chromium cast iron. By adding other alloying element and conducting apposite heat treatment, high chromium cast iron can acquire different matrix metals to meet all kinds of performance requirement of the working condition to wear- resistant materials.
